Augh. I don't even know where to begin here.

ginmar, if you're reading this, I imagine you'd have some good rantiness on the subject.

Current Mood: irritatedirritated

interesting article...'not sure i agree that all the points brought up as negatives are all that bad in some situations...but...

Gah, that's fuckin' dumb!

There's always a chance that your partner may find someone they like more than you and wander off with that person. Always. Trying to beat the odds by having a partner less likely to get outside the house just seems really futile and not very nice at all!

Oh my goodness! You mean that men have to consider that women might be able to leave THEM?! And that their dicks and paychecks may not be enough to hold a woman hostage in an unfulfilling marriage?!

Who do we call?

On the bright side, I should be highly eligable since I'm very educated (seen as a plus) and yet work at a grocery store for less than $30,000/yr.

::peeks out door:: That's odd, no one's lining up at my door...

Thanks for the link, particularly the indirect link to this, which was quite awesome.

No problem.

Guess it depends what you want--a life partner or a bimbo you can play house with.

You can "prove" pretty much anything with statistics, especially if you start off with the unexamined assumption that a man's role is to be sole provider. Good rebuttal article, tho.
