Ys [userpic]

So am I the only person who regularly opens up a 'post a comment' window, types out their comment, and then says, "You know, I needed to write that, but there's no reason it needs to be posted," and closes the window without posting?

I do this at least as often on little nominally-complimentary things (often because I'm not convinced that my tone will be interpreted as the humor I intended) as I do on strongly-worded things.

Current Mood: busybusy

Actually, I do it a lot. But, mostly because I am so new at this sort of thing, and once I have my response typed up, I stop, and realize that the person to whom I am responding more than likely has no idea who the hell I am, and then they will probably wonder why in the world I am reading their journal. And why do I feel the necessity of posting my opinion/response/answer when in the grand scheme of things, what does my measly two cents count for? And, yes, I almost closed this without posting it, but, then isn't that what was commented upon? So, I will leave it.

I'm glad you posted this time instead of just closing!
