These are, indeed, pretty cool! I'd like a nicer UI to find all the posts with a given tag--aside from just clicking on that tag in a given post. You can look up all of someone's memories; you should be able to look up a list of tagged posts. I wonder if they will put something of that nature in.

Yeah, that part I know. :) But that assumes that you know what someone's tags are to begin with, does it not?

I believe people who have (at least) add access to your tags (http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=229) can see your taglist.

I haven't fiddled with that part yet.

Tags on communities are, at least, browseable via the manage interface.

Yeah, I saw that--but what I'm talking about is some sort of basic UI where if you go to some person's userinfo, you can click on something to see their list of public (or whatever security level is applicable to you) tags and just bring up a list from there. Similar to how you can click over into their memories by the link that's shown there.

I agree...

tagging is a very neat concept, but unless you can have other people (if you so desire) search any of our existing tag list for memories and such, it's somewhat pointless...

Re: I agree...

Yeah--right now there seems to be no easy way for a person to actually know what tags you've set. I've dropped a few links to what I expect to be my most-used tags on my own journal into my userinfo, but that's by no means a comprehensive list!
