The first thing we do, see, is kill all the managers.

Been there, done that. That's a very accurate article, unfortunately.

Particularly the bits about the overtime. At Borg, there was also Socially Mandated Overtime, where if you didn't stay late, it counted against you On The Team (tm) - even if you didn't have anything to do. (But you couldn't admit that, because it meant you clearly didn't have enough to do.)

To circumvent this, there was a quiet assortment of weeknight game teams amoungst dev and test. You'd be there, working away at your computer, putting in the evening face-time... gaming.

Some of the managers knew, but some didn't. It sucked.
