So, I lost one filling and broke another quite recently, and my teeth had thus been bugging me rather a lot. I asked Amy to make me a dentist appointment.

She called me at about 11:30 today and said, "Can you come now? They can fit you in now if you can."

So I bailed out of work and went to the dentist. We haven't been to see her before, but I was immensely pleased. She verified that I had, in fact, lost one filling and cracked another. Drilled out the cracked one (no anaesthetic needed) and put temps in both spots. I have an appointment in a couple of weeks to get them fixed right.

And my teeth feel noticeably better.

Temporary fillings? Huh, never heard such a thing. What was the reason they couldn't do them 'right' on the spot?

Because they squeezed me in between appointments, mostly.

I am going for a consult with the oral surgeon in forty five minutes. I have to have my wisdom teeth out this year.

I am terrified. I hate dentists.

I just went to the dentist this week, for the first time in several years. Many reasons why it has been so long that I won't bore you with! :)

I haven't had a cavity since I was 12 (24 years!) Guess they decided to all wait until now...6 cavities! :( Two that are bad enough he wanted to take care of them as quickly as possible so I don't end up having to have a root canal. Ouchie!
