Great article on writing which includes this little gem:

Yes, words drip from your pen like liquid gold skittering across the finest vellum ever pounded out of a lamb. Trees weep with gratitude that their deaths afford you the paper upon which you will cast your thoughts. That's very nice for you.

Where did you find me and why did you add me?

IIRC I found you in some random place somewhere and asked if I could steal some of your Utena icons, and you said, "Sure, just don't take the kitty ones."

As to why I added you, mostly because of your listed interests (particularly corsetry and suchlike) and because you've got an otherkin community listed, and so I was curious.

Ah. I recall the comment now.

Actually I'm member of three different Otherkin communities, one of which I moderate and maintain - though it's somewhat quiet at the moment.

Reading through your past entries doesn't really give me much of a feel for your personality however; and I'm afraid being somewhat randomly added by a stranger makes me uncomfortable. I open up a lot more of myself in LJ than it seems you do; it makes me very cautious whom I allow to read it. The only people I tend to add reciprocally these days are people I've actually met, which is kind of a physical impossibility in your case.

I don't know at this stage if I can or will reciprocate.

Not a problem, I wasn't expecting automatic reciprocation. I'm sorry if adding you made you feel uncomfortable; I'm willing to leave you on so you can read my friends-locked posts and just take you off my Default View if it matters to you, or even drop you entirely if for some reason being able to read my friends-locked posts bugs you. *grin* Granting you access to read mine doesn't mean that I expect you to grant me access to yours, of course.

I am sort of curious, though, what would give you feel for my personality. At least to my own perception, I do open up rather a lot in my LJ, especially if you are privy to my occasional friends-locked entry. You don't have to answer if it makes you uncomfortable; my curiousity is not something you are in any fashion required to satisfy. But if I don't ask, I definitely won't get it satisfied, eh? *smile*
